Good business and continuous growth confirm once again that the first order fair of the year is the place to be!

More than 190 national and international top labels – including almost 30 percent newcomers – found their way to MOC in Munich from March 3rd to 4th, 2024 to showcase their new collections of evening, bridal, and cocktail fashion.

In two fully booked atriums, exhibitors of men’s and groom’s fashion, alongside labels with festive children’s fashion, lingerie, accessories, and shoes also presented the latest trends and must-haves. Service providers rounded off and perfectly complemented the entire pre-order range.
In addition to gaining an exclusive first look at the new collections, attending the ABC Salon also allows retailers to place the popular first orders and secure early delivery dates.

The largest ABC Salon ever registered an impressive increase in exhibitors. In an expansion of space by 19 showrooms in two ‘Flower Boxes’, several brands presented themselves together in attractive joint showrooms – for a concentrated look and feel of the fashion highlights.

A record-breaking attendance of over 1500 visitors on both days, reaffirmed the successful concept and the unique atmosphere of ABC Salon.

Almost magical …
… is the always noticeably positive atmosphere at this trade fair, alongside the enchanting designs and collections. The infectious positive energy at the start of the year was once again evident at this year’s ABC Salon, fostering lively exchanges and the often-described pleasant atmosphere that both visitors and exhibitors love.

Lots of L.O.V.E.
In front of four centrally installed, huge, luminous letters and the beautiful photo wall, countless, shining Instagram and Facebook posts were created, all showing the optimistic, cheerful mood.

The place for B2B
Retailers came from all over Germany. With a notable increase in visitors from the North of Germany compared to previous years, attendees from Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and other European countries were also present. They all value the unique selling points of ABC Salon, particularly its clearly service-oriented organization. In addition to the already mentioned pleasant atmosphere, ABC Salon provides ample networking opportunities and benefits from Munich’s appeal as a trade fair location. Notably, attendees enjoy various complimentary services, including free admission, parking, Wi-Fi, wardrobe facilities, and attractive welcome bags filled with great giveaways.

There is also much praise for the good catering at the attractively designed bistro, providing space and opportunities for networking among colleagues and business partners.

Therefore, all indications suggest that next year’s kick-off order fair for the evening, bridal, and cocktail fashion industry, scheduled for March 2nd to 3rd, 2025, is set for success – with much anticipation from exhibitors, who have confirmed their repeated participation …

Excellent atmosphere and good business
ABC Salon 2023 closes with a sensational result.

“We will join ABC-Salon again in 2024!”, “We’ll definitely be back!” was the enthusiastic response from exhibitors and visitors after two days at the popular first order fair of the year for evening, bridal and cocktail fashion!

On the 26th and 27th of February, two fully booked atriums and an expansion of space by twelve showrooms in the ‘Flower Box’ offered national and international exhibitors ‘a fresh and appealing setting with an excellent organisation’ (Edwin Feldmann | Justin Alexander) to present their collections for the new season. Remarkable 30 percent of new exhibitors found their way to Munich this year – among these national and international top labels!

The steadily growing attraction of ABC Salon also reflects in the significantly increased number of visitors: by now, connoisseurs of this good vibes fair come from all over Germany – as well as from Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and other European countries.

While the wedding, bridal and event fashion industry was initially focused on taking advantage of the year’s kick-off fair – securing the popular first orders and early delivery dates –, this important argument for ABC Salon is now surpassed by its special quality: the noticeably positive energy and the pleasant atmosphere of this fair make it the place to be recommended by colleagues in the industry.

The happy participants did not miss the opportunity to communicate this extraordinary feeling beyond ABC Salon: almost all the visitors posed in front of the beautiful photo wall – where countless pictures with a wow effect, conveying the merry, relaxed atmosphere, were taken and shared with the world via social media.

News, highlights, and a very special service
The eagerly expected new collections and creations of established brands and newcomer labels are known to be incentive enough to visit ABC Salon. This year, however, bridal, evening and cocktail fashion were complemented by highly attractive new exhibitors from the men’s and groom’s fashion industry. In addition, great labels for festive children’s fashion, accessories, and shoes formed further new highlights. The colourful bouquet reflecting the fashionable mix of the ABC Salon thus continues to grow …

Speaking of a bouquet: fresh, young, fast-growing, and renowned labels full of esprit were given their own platform this year! The ‘Flower Box’ was an attractively designed extension of the exhibition space, which inspired the desire for something new!

To digitally accompany and record an outstanding event, interesting new service providers – especially in the areas of marketing & social media – opened up spaces for unimagined possibilities. In this way, they rounded off the increasingly innovative range of the order fair.

Nice to have: All participants were able to enjoy the fair in a particularly relaxed manner thanks to the free services provided by the organisers: entry, parking, WLAN and wardrobe were free of charge for visitors. In addition, there were exclusive give-aways and culinary delicacies.

Working overtime!
Due to the participants´ enthusiasm, good spirits and flourishing business, the scheduled opening hours were extended on the first day. The run on the showrooms and open presentation areas was so great on Sunday that exhibitors and visitors voluntarily worked overtime. About half of the 65 percent of ‘first-day visitors’ came to the fair again on Monday to work some more, but also to take their time experiencing and feeling the collections. In total, the order fair in Munich welcomed around 1,400 visitors on both fair days.

ABC Salon guarantees bundled quality instead of tiring quantity – and this in an exceptionally positive atmosphere! The organisers are already looking forward to welcoming you back in Munich for the next ABC Salon from the 3rd to 4th of March 2024!

The best atmosphere in Munich!

From February 27th to 28th, 2022, the wedding, bridal and event fashion industry met for their annual kick-off fair at the ABC Salon in Munich. The popular first order date for the looks of the coming season not only offered the very first long-awaited glimpse of creations and collections from the world of bridal fashion, festive gowns and accessories and ensured early delivery, but also opened up the space for an invigorating professional exchange about trends and market changes.

From 0 to 100

The showrooms and presentation areas of the exhibitors were very well attended on the first day of the fair, where well-known manufacturers, market leaders and top international brands were presented for the first time with 140 labels from the world of evening, bridal and cocktail fashion. Around 1000 visitors were able to place their order in a relaxed atmosphere within the exhibition space, which was doubled compared to the last event. The joy was visibly great that dealers not only from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, but also from other neighbouring countries, had accepted the personal invitation despite the current uncertainties: A strong sign that personal contact was more than important to all business partners after last year’s break.

“Best ABC Salon Ever”

For example, Irina Donner, owner of Euro Mode Donner, sums it up with a smile. But first-time exhibitor Kerstin Mechler from ‘Kiss the Bride’ summarizes enthusiastically: “The look & feel suits us, we feel comfortable in this atmosphere”. In addition to exhibitors, who appreciate the framework of this early order fair every year, the ABC Salon was also able to welcome other popular brands back this year. “It was a successful fair where we were able to see many of our customers who we have missed for a long time,” says Daniella Gargiulo (Sales, Marketing and Office Coordinator Europe | Justin Alexander). “The early appointment is important, the atmosphere here was very positive, the event was perfectly organized – all in all a really positive experience for us!”

Andreas Peucker (Agency Management | Andreas Peucker Office) is happy to agree when he says: “The ABC Salon was extremely well received. There was always a lot going on in our four showrooms, where we presented the collections of Hervé Paris, Modeca, Sedinum, Morilee and Randy Fenoly. The early date was certainly particularly important this year. As a long-time participant, I can also say that the team at the organizer AVR does an excellent job.”

Small is beautiful

It is confirmed once again: it is not the size of the trade fair that matters, but the quality and atmosphere. This is also where major trends and collections start, such as that of ‘White One’, a Pronovias Group brand. Juney van den Bliek (Area Manager DACH & Benelux) and Wiebke Kaper (Senior Marketing Northern & Eastern Europe) are enthusiastic, apart from their success with the Ladybird brand: “With White One we were at the ABC Salon for the first time and showed with the Shine Bright Collection Seductive colours, sexy bodices and corsets and playful details that make every bride shine on her big day. As a newcomer to the order fair, the collection was welcomed with open arms and we look forward to seeing many brides in the dresses next year. We certainly speak for everyone when we say ABC Salon 2022 was a roaring success!”

The organizer is pleased about the extremely positive feedback from all participants on the usual relaxed atmosphere, the variety of brands presented and numerous amenities such as free parking and WLAN as well as welcome bags with exclusive give-aways.
